Our Family Story

It tastes homemade because it is.

Delicious, local maple syrup made in small batches by hand at the family sugar shack.

Our family farm and sugar house sits nestled in the rolling hills of northern Pennsylvania.

Shuey Maple is a family-owned and operated business producing the best maple syrup in northern Pennsylvania.

Parents Mike and Amy, and their sons Luke and Matt, cultivate the land, hand-tap each sap line in the maple trees, and cook the maple sugar down in small batches by hand in our family’s sugar shack. Each bottle that ends up on your table was first trialed on ours.

Our family is made up of three generation of local farmers, and the sugar shack is just down the road from the family farm (and our grandfather’s).

We are life-long farmers and care a great deal for the land we farm. We’re conservation-focused to ensure that the beautiful maple trees and woods are around for future generations to enjoy. Not to mention we love the outdoors.

As a business, we are always working to become more efficient in our production methods to conserve energy in the sugar reduction process.
